Register for the CUSMA Compliance Workshop

Do you export to the United States? Learn how your business can avoid the unneccessary duties, strengthen U.S. market access and reduce compliance risks. In partnership with the World Trade Centre Toronto, the City of Toronto is hosting a free, in-person Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) Compliance Workshop on Thursday, March 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Scarborough. This practical session will cover how to qualify products under CUSMA Rules of Origin, common mistakes that trigger duties, how to prepare for customs audits and strategies to manage tariff volatility. Attendees will also have access to optional confidential one-on-one clinics with trade lawyers, customs brokers and supply chain advisors. Learn more and register.

Last chance to report business barriers with the Red Tape Hotline 

The City of Toronto has extended the deadline for businesses to submit to the Red Tape Hotline. Businesses can share feedback on regulatory challenges such as permitting delays, outdated by-laws or cumbersome municipal processes. This pilot project supports efforts to modernize regulations and streamline services under Toronto’s Economic Action Plan. Submissions are now open until Saturday, January 31. Find details.
